March 23, 2011 -Hardest Week of my Life!

Good Morning My Darling,

It is Tuesday already, I cannot believe it has almost been a week! Sunday was crazy everybody kept coming up to ask about you. Telling us that you are in their prayers. I want you to know how many people LOVE you and want you to succeed!

Jordan was called as a Primary teacher the 7-8 year olds, he was pretty excited. Keely was called as the Sunbeam teacher so she was excited too. The Stake Presidency came and set dad a part for his new calling. It was really neat, the Spirit was really strong! He wants to be better at his knowledge of the gospel, so thanks for your example.

It is snowing this morning and really cold! We are going to pick Elder VanBuren and Uncle Troy and Aunt Rachelle about 9:30 so that will be a great experience to be able to hear all about his mission. I know that you will start hearing from Aunt Rachelle now that she is home from Chilie. They lost their luggage and she did not have anything for about three days. Excited to hear how that was!! Grandma and Aunt Char and mom went up to their house all day yesterday and cleaned, rearranged, and hung pictures. She wanted the house nice when Taylor got home. We had Morgan for dinner on Sunday. We also invited Jordan Sibert but he had to go to his grandma's center for dinner. He is doing, and really loves you. have you heard from him yet? i will get you a soap container and send it to you soon.

Last thursday the mouse of the computer stopped working, we have to take it in to Apple to see what is up...so this morning I woke up to my phone saying I had a message, when I grabbed it, it was from you!! I freaked out and tried to open it, but it was just a bunch of numbers, letters, etc. So I said a little prayer and asked Heavenly Father to be with you and comfort you, if that was a sign from you. I went to get the lab top and check it, and that is when I got your email from Saturday....so I was very excited!!!! It sounds like you are doing great. I am so very proud of you for hanging in there. It will only get easier with every passing day. The language will come!!! Don't have any doubts about that. Maybe there is a blockage because you have to learn to love that teacher that you want to punch!!!! (That made me chuckle I could hear you saying that)! No really try and find something positive about him, don't let him win! You come out the winner!

I will let Jaydn tell you about his tournament, Jordan is doing well they both pray for you and are so proud of you. They all wore their Honduras pins on Sunday it was cool! We are representing well! HA HA You'd think that we had the most wonderful missionary in the world at the MTC or something!!!

Honey I have to get ready for the day, but wanted to share a scripture D&C 121: 7-8 I loved it, maybe you could read it every day to help you to remember that there will be peace in your soul during your hard times and when you are not feeling well that those times will just be a second in time. If you handle those hard times well, that God will help you to overcome everything and you will come out on top! You will TRIUMP over ALL things!!! just remember this. I love you so VERY VERY Much!! You are my WORLD!!! take care and you continue to Pray you will be blessed!!

Week 1 March 19, 2011 from MTC

Hi Mom,

So MTC...crazy stuff I don't know if you got my letter I sent, but its crazy here. Oh and thank you for the package. I haven't gotten to eat the cinnamon rolls yet, but my roommates & comp are way excited ha ha. I never understood how cool it was to get a letter or package from someone, but oh my gosh it's like a NEED HERE!!! So tell people that please.

How was Jay's tournament? How was your week? What have I missed? I like it here everyone is way nice except one teacher. I might punch him in the mouth. I'm trying to hold myself back! My comp says he can see it in my eyes, how mad he makes me. I swear he just tries to make stuff up and make me mad! But ya its so crazy how well the Lord knows you and how GREAT PRAYER WORKS!!!!! I never really knew till now. I got really sick the first night and have been praying for health (el salud) and also that the language would come, its really hard. Almost everyone in my district knows what they are doing except me and this other kid. But anyways its crazy how much the Lord knows me cause all my roommates are exactly what I need right now! We are all about the same and its so nice.

Tell Dad congrats thats way cool I busted up laughing when I heard. But am way happy I love you guys so much! Um don't email me on this just do the Dear Elder letters and I will just email you back on this. It's better cause we only get 30 minutes as you know, so I don't wanna waste my time reading on here. It would be better on a piece of paper when I am not timed. Oh if you could send a little container for my bar of soap. That would be very good so that when I use it its not in the box that it came in.

Oh Dad that Trenton guy that you know down here? I met his son ha the first day I was in here, like right after you dropped me off. He came in my room and asked if I knew Ace Fab? and of course I bragged about it and he told me he was Trenton's son. It was cool! Crazy!!

Anything you would like to fill me in on would be nice. I love you all so much and thank you for everything you have done for me. The great examples you are for me. Give Jess a hug for me and see how she is doing. I 'm sure just fine, oh and of course the dogs. :) I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH!!

March 17, 2011- 1st Letter from MTC

Dear Mommy, So.... MTC? Pretty crazy. I'm not in love with it. But guess who my comp is?... Ya that kid we met at the mall. How crazy is that? His name is Elder Westerman. He is pretty chill. Talks a lot but way cool. We like the same things. The other Elder in my room is Elder Clayton. Way Chill, Nixon guy, Oakley guy, everything we are just about the same. It's way crazy.

But MTC pretty much sucks. I already miss you guys way bad. I also miss Jess... :( I need you to send me a family picture and more envelopes. Oh Spanish sucks too!! It is way hard. There is a girl in my district she is from Mountain Green, she lives right by Uncle Brad. She is also friends with Britt. She is very attractive ha but keep that between us. Anyways I love you!!!! very much can't wait to see you.

Mom's 1st Letter to the MTC

Dear Elder Peterson,



Hello my darling how are you doing? Things here at home are going fine. Yesterday we went to Aunt Rachelle's for Taylor's homecoming. It was a wonderful meeting Taylor did such a great job. He has grown so much his spirit is so strong. You can feel it when he speaks. He had some really amazing experiences! He really loved the people in Chili. Aunt Rachelle filmed while they were in Chili and we were able to see and hear from some of the people. What wonderful, humble, God loving people! It was really awesome to see and hear. Of course I thought about you the whole time and imagined that you will have these same feelings and experiences. These experiences changed his life for the better and will change yours too. I was able to read a letter that he had to write for his mission president, oh my what a testimony of the importance of missions! Anyway it was a wonderful day we all thought about you and hoped you could feel of our love! Tay lor feels jealous of you and wishes it was him in your shoes, just getting ready to go out!



The Spanish language is beautiful! I am so excited that you are learning it! I love how you have been putting some words in our letters! We thought fit would be fun when you are a pro at it, for you to write your letter in Spanish and then we would have Taylor read it to all of us in Family Home Evening. The kids all loved hearing Taylor bear his testimony in Spanish and were so excited that you were going to be the only one who could talk to Taylor when you got home. Kendyl just keeps asking me if I have cried everyday since you left? And then began to tell me all of the mission rules no kissing girls, then tells me all about how you kissed jess the night you were set apart. then that people can feed the missionaries if they want. Then she went right into what she is going to color for you. So her little mind is definitely focused on you!



No t sure if you heard Elder Yardley came home last week, I guess he has back problems...he has to go to some specialists and then they will go from there. He is suppose to be going back after they find out what is wrong.



Some other news....we would out that the Stake is being split in two weeks. We will be in the new Clinton West Stake, bummer I guess the good news is that the church is growing, bad news is we will have a new Stake President etc. So lots of new changes we will keep you posted. Jaydn was not happy because he wanted Pat. Bennett to give him his blessing but that won't happen now.



It is still ugly outside I am sure it is in Provo too so looking forward to nice warm weather.



We got Jordan some new glasses and in a few weeks he will be getting his wisdom teeth out. He is looking forward to it because his teeth have been bothering him, they must be trying to poke through. He has been working alot and a lso making plans for Prom. Josh he loves you so much and it has amazed me listening to his prayers in your behalf. He always praises you and always talks about your ability with people and how successful you will be as a missionary! I about died when I looked at Elder Clayton's blog....he totally reminds me of Jordan. Is he??



Anyway I hope to meet up with Tammy, Elder Clayton's mom we have chatted a lot and I really like her. She also is very grateful to you. She said that you were exactly what he needed!! Amazing how things work out huh? Heavenly Father always takes care of us and blesses us!!



Will you please write grandma & grandpa p? You know how they need extra attention...well they need you so do what you can k. Don't write me, if that is what you need to do!



Grandpa H is having his surgery on the 30th so keep him in your prayers. It will be nice to have over for him!



Jordan Sibert ca me up last night visited for a while, he read your letters and just hung out with dad and I. I gave him this site so he could write you on this. He said he would do it last night so hopefully you got a nice letter from him. He seems to be doing well, just misses hanging out with you. Thanks for being such a good example to him, you already started your mission before you left. His life changed because of you.



Jess is suppose to come over some time this week so just waiting to hear about her work schedule. So that will be fun to exchange stories about you!



Is there anything you need? Please send me your questionnaires back after you have completed them k. Send pictures too. I want to have them for your book, so funny ones, companions, district, etc. Just write on the backs of them so I know who and what when etc.



I think the dogs miss you Lacey goes under your bed so we have to get her out and then give her all k inds of attention and kisses! It is pathetic!!!
